Our Story
Talas Edge Solutions was founded by Vanessa Snider, a former federal employee with over two decades of combined military and civil service. Her career at the U.S. Department of the Interior and her time in the U.S. Air Force inspired a mission: to bring real-world experience, cultural understanding, and operational excellence to the government contracting space.
Our Founder
Vanessa Snider brings over 20 years of federal service experience to Talas Edge Solutions. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior. In this role, she provided strategic policy guidance and operational oversight across a range of management and program areas.
Before her tenure with Indian Affairs, Vanessa was the Science Support Program Manager and Chief Integration Officer at the U.S. Geological Survey, where she led the formulation, execution, and governance of a $1.2 billion budget. She also served as a Senior Program Analyst at the National Nuclear Security Administration, managing complex program analysis and supporting the execution of a $6 billion portfolio.
Vanessa holds a Master of Science in Project Management from The George Washington University. She is passionate about helping organizations improve operational efficiency, deliver mission outcomes, and navigate the complexities of government programs.
